This is my take of sketch number 7 from My paperworld . I used different brands of designpaper (Basic Grey & K&Company) and orange cardstock. Hope you like the card as much as I do...Thanks for stopping by...

Romance is in the air....

Elly's card, which I received this morning, got my hands itching to get creative and I did...This card is the result...I know, I'm a romantic!! Thanks for inspiring me Elly...
Het kaartje van Elly dat ik vanmorgen ontving, deden mijn handen jeuken om ook weer eens aan de slag te gaan...en dat ging ik!! Dit kaartje is het resultaat...ik weet het, ik ben een romantische ziel...niets aan te doen!! Bedankt voor de inspiratie Elly...

A card, a remake (again) and a really lovely gift...

Look what the mailman brought me this morning!! I so love this gift that was send to me by Elly. Thank you so much sweetie, I totally love the romantic feeling it gives me....It's already hanging in a special place in my home....
Kijk eens wat de postbode me vanmorgen bracht!! Vindt je het niet schitterend? Het was een cadeautje van Elly (je zou echt haar blog eens moeten bezoeken, dan loop je meteen over van inspiratie!!). Ik ben er helemaal weg van en heb het inmiddels op een speciaal plekje in mijn huis gehangen. Elly, ontzettend bedankt meis, ik ben er superblij mee!!



Then I made this card a few weeks ago to enter a DT call. I didn't make it, but lost from a very good scrapper so....To make this card I used the Dahlia folding technique that was linked on Ingrids blog. I used those gorgeous Noteworthy papers from Making Memories, they really are my favorite...
Dan deze kaart, ik heb hem gemaakt nav de techniek die op Ingrids blog gelinkt stond (ook haar blog is de moeite van het bekijken waard trouwens!!). Ik heb hier mijn favoriete papierlijn voor gebruikt, Noteworthy van Making Memories.



And I couldn't help myself, but when I looked at the lo I remade a few days ago, there was something about it that didn't feel right. I decided to remove the wooden heart at the upperleft and now I like the way it looks....So this was my last remake of this lo, I promise!!
Ik heb deze lo al een keer overgedaan maar toch was er iets aan dat me stoorde....Ik wist zo gauw niet wat het precies was, maar uiteindelijk heb ik het houten hartje linksboven weggehaald en nu vind ik hem meer in verhouding....dus ik zal hem niet nog een keer opnieuw maken ok? Beloofd!!

Schoolpicture

I always find it hard to scrap schoolpictures but when I saw this one, I immediatly knew what brand paper (Cherry arte/cosmic energy) I wanted to use...I didn't have to add very much, 'cause the design is enough. I did add wooden numbers, which I painted red on the side and I glued black/white polka dot paper onto them. The silver glitter stars are stickers, so are the letters of the word "brothers". I really like this lo. The pic was taken mid februari...

Ik vind het altijd moeilijk om schoolfoto's te scrappen, maar toen ik deze foto zag, wist ik meteen welk papier ik hiervoor wilde gebruiken (Cherry arte/cosmic energy). Ik heb er niet veel aan toe hoeven voegen, alleen wat houten cijfers, die ik aan de rand rood heb geverfd en daarna beplakt met zwart/wit papier, wat zilveren glitter sterren stickers en het woord "broers" zijn ook stickers. Ik vind hem wel leuk geworden zo. De foto is 19 februari genomen.

Growing and glowing

The first layout you see is one I made when I first started scrapbooking. As time went by, I didn't like the way I made it anymore and I always wanted to make a new one...Now I finally did. I like the new one so much better....On the pictures you can see my mom pregnant with me....It's a nice memory isn't it?

De bovenste layout heb ik gemaakt toen ik het scrappen pas ontdekt had, maar toen de jaren verstreken vond ik er eigenlijk niets meer aan. Ik nam me al een hele tijd voor om deze opnieuw te maken, en eindelijk is het me dan gelukt. Zoals ie nu is, vind ik hem een stuk beter....Op de foto zie je mijn moeder staan die hoogzwanger is van mij....leuk aandenken toch? Bedankt weer voor het kijken, xxxWendy.

The two cards above were made for two kids who are having a bad time and could use some cheering up. They are Tanja's kids and I just had to send them a card. Tanja let us know her kids really appreciated it, so....I've got nothing else to show you yet, so I just wish you a good weekend and hope the weather clears up a bit.

Last tuesday one of my brothers passed the theoretical exam he needs to get his truckdriverslicense....Since he doesn't read this blog, I felt save to show you the card I made him, which he will receive tomorrow morning.


Afgelopen dinsdag heeft één van mijn broertje zijn theorie examen gehaald dat hij nodig heeft om zijn vrachtwagen rijbewijs te kunnen halen. Aangezien hij mijn blog niet leest, vond ik het veilig genoeg om vast het kaartje te laten zien dat ik voor hem gemaakt heb en die hij als het goed is, morgen zal ontvangen.
Welterusten voor straks vast en bedankt weer voor het kijken....

A prima paintable card...and something new!

My brother and SIL were married for ten years this month so I made them this Prima paintable card....My mother made these in black and white for me so I only had to color them....
Ik heb dit kaartje voor mijn broer en schoonzusje gemaakt die deze maand 10 jaar getrouwd waren. Mijn moeder is nogal handig met de computer en heeft van de originele Prima Paintables allemaal verschillende kaarten voor me gemaakt, ik hoef ze alleen nog maar in te kleuren!! Gaaf hè?
And what's new? Nothing special really, I just decided to write this blog in English as well as in Dutch, because I noticed a lot of Dutch scrappers can't read English very well so....
Wat er voor nieuwtje is? Ik heb besloten om zowel in het Engels als in het Nederlands op dit blog te posten, aangezien er nogal wat scrappers zijn die het prettiger vinden om in hun eigen taal te lezen....Vandaar....

Freestyle swap

This lo (8"x8") was made for a freestyle swap at the Scrappersanonimous forum for Yvon (Stampidoe). I found the picture a hard one to work with due to the colors but I finally managed to create this. I'm glad she liked it....
I'm real busy this month and won't get much scrapping done, so forgive me for not having much to show you...I'll try to create at least a card but can't promise anything, sorry!! xxxWendy.
